Monthly memberships for food shops
Your regulars already spend forty or fifty pounds a week somewhere. Let them put it aside with you instead, and get more back than they paid. You know the month’s takings before it starts, and they shop where the money already is.
£0 setup · £0 monthly fee · 7% of each payment, or £1 if that’s more

Spent down the road instead
A food shop does not lose a customer all at once. It loses a fortnight here and a big shop there, to whoever is convenient that week. A monthly allowance moves that decision to the start of the month and settles it in your favour — the money is already with you.

How it works
Pay £90, spend £100. The ten pounds is what you are paying for a month of their shopping, and it is yours to set — a tighter margin on a bigger plan, if you like.
It can run out at the end of the month, carry into the next one, or keep carrying over until they use it. Members are told which before they join.
They show it, you scan it, and it says what they have left to spend. Take it off the total and ring the rest up exactly as you do now.
One payment a month into your own Stripe account, on the first, before anybody has walked in.
The numbers
60 customers × £90
£5,400/month
in recurring membership revenue
£64,800 a year
An illustration, not a forecast: it assumes every membership is paid in full each month. You set your own prices, and nobody is guaranteed to join.

What your customers see
The code on their phone shows what is left this month, and so does the till when you scan it. Nobody has to ask, and nobody is told at the counter that they have run out.
For the business
Sixty members on a ninety-pound plan is £5,400 in the account before the shutters go up. The week’s ordering stops being a guess.
An allowance is only good in your shop. It is not a wallet, it does not come out as cash, and it does not follow them down the road.
Scan the code, see what is left, take it off the total. No new terminal and no change to how the rest is rung up.
The price, the allowance and what happens to the remainder are all yours. So is the margin between the two.

What a plan can cover
Each can use a different share of the month, so a longer shop can count as two.
Questions
No. A spending allowance is what a membership is worth at your shop this month, in the same way four haircuts are what a barber’s plan is worth. It is never paid out, never moves to another shop, and never becomes cash.
Put what they already buy on a monthly plan, like £100.00 to spend for £90 a month, and get paid before they walk in.
