Monthly memberships for pubs

Turn Your Regulars Into Takings You Can Count On.

The same faces are in every week anyway. Give them a monthly membership and take one payment up front instead of hoping for a busy Friday.

£0 setup · £0 monthly fee · 7% of each payment, or £1 if that’s more

Wet-led and weather-led

The same twenty people hold the place up. The takings still swing with the weather.

A wet Tuesday empties the room and a warm Friday fills it, and a landlord can plan around neither. A membership is the part of the month that arrives whatever the sky does, from the people who were coming in anyway.

The regulars who carry the quiet nights pay exactly what a stranger pays.

A slow fortnight is a slow fortnight — there is nothing banked against it.

The loyalty card lives in a drawer behind the bar and nobody ever fills it in.

How it works

How Monthlygo works for pubs.

  1. 01

    Set what a membership covers

A number of drinks a month, and what a drink can be. A roast can cost more of the month than a pint, and there is a cap on how many go in a day.

  2. 02

    Code on the bar

Regulars scan it while they wait to be served, and can be a member before the first one is poured.

  3. 03

    Scan when they’re served

They show their code and you scan it. It says what is left this month, and anything past that is rung through the till as usual.

  4. 04

Paid at the start of the month

One payment into your own Stripe account on the same date each month, whatever the weather does after it.

The numbers

What would memberships mean for your business?

60 regulars × £30

£1,800/month

in recurring membership revenue

£21,600 a year

An illustration, not a forecast: it assumes every membership is paid in full each month. You set your own prices, and nobody is guaranteed to join.

What your regulars see

Show the code. Get served.

Regulars see what is left this month and their code, on their own phone. No card to lose and nothing for your staff to keep behind the bar.

  • What is left this month is on their phone before they reach the bar
  • A daily cap is part of every plan, so a month cannot go in one night
  • Anything past the allowance is rung through the till exactly as it is now

For the business

What changes when your regulars pay monthly.

A floor under the month

Takings that arrive before the doors open.

You know your regulars

Who they are and how often they’re in.

Quicker at the bar

A scan instead of a card on a busy night.

Straight into your account

Paid into your own Stripe account each month.

Questions

What pubs ask us.

It would be if it were unlimited, so Monthlygo doesn’t offer that for a pub. A plan is a set number of drinks a month, and every one of them carries a cap on how many can be used in a day. A membership should be a habit, not a challenge.

Your staff keep every bit of the judgement they have now. A scan tells them what is covered; it never tells them to serve anybody.

Your regulars already come back.

Put what they already buy on a monthly plan, like 8 drinks for £30 a month, and get paid before they walk in.
