Monthly memberships for cafés

Turn The Daily Coffee Into One Payment A Month.

The people in every morning are already a subscription — they just pay for it a card tap at a time. Give them a plan, and take the month up front.

£0 setup · £0 monthly fee · 7% of each payment, or £1 if that’s more

The same order, every morning

They’re in five days a week. You still find out each morning whether they came.

A café’s best customers already behave like subscribers: same time, same order, most days of the week. The only thing missing is the subscription — and the certainty that comes with being paid for the month on the first of it.

The daily regular pays exactly what somebody passing through pays.

A wet week or a half-term takes the morning rush with it.

The tenth-coffee-free card is somewhere in a coat pocket.

How it works

How Monthlygo works for cafés.

  1. 01

    Set the allowance

A number of coffees a month, or as many as they like with a sensible daily cap. A pastry can use a visit too, if you want it to.

  2. 02

    Code on the counter

People scan it while they wait for the machine, and can be a member before their coffee is made.

  3. 03

    Scan at the till

They show a code, you scan it, and it comes off their month. Everything else rings through as it does now.

  4. 04

    Paid on the first

One payment a month into your own Stripe account, whether it rains that week or not.

The numbers

What would memberships mean for your business?

90 regulars × £25

£2,250/month

in recurring membership revenue

£27,000 a year

An illustration, not a forecast: it assumes every membership is paid in full each month. You set your own prices, and nobody is guaranteed to join.

What your regulars see

Same order. No card, no cash, no stamps.

Members see what is left this month on their own phone, and the queue moves faster because the payment happened three weeks ago.

  • A cap of two a day keeps a plan a habit rather than a card being shared
  • Any drink on the board can count as one — you decide what does
  • Unused coffees can roll into next month if you allow it

For the business

What changes when your regulars pay monthly.

Paid for the month

On the first, not one flat white at a time.

A faster queue

A scan beats a card at nine in the morning.

Who is in every morning, and what they order.

Fewer small payments

One charge a month instead of twenty card fees.

Questions

What cafés ask us.

Yes, and cafés are the one trade where Monthlygo offers it, because a daily coffee is a habit rather than a hole in the margin. Every plan carries a cap on how many can be used in a day, which is what stops one membership becoming an office’s.

Your regulars already come back.

Put what they already buy on a monthly plan, like 20 coffees for £25 a month, and get paid before they walk in.
